The school opened with 36 children, with 4 teachers and two assistants. Carefree Kid's opened a Baby Centre for babies 3 - 18 months. Started Aftercare and Holiday Care.

Hanlie started the year with 8 children, ending it with 13. She was able to appoint an assistant teacher and presented the school's first concert.
Through the grace of God the school opened on 1 February, with one child; at the end of the year there were 8 children.
